Quality and Durability

The Titan Plates features a quality design. Since it is constructed out of urethane, it is not only odorless, but it also combines some of the best properties of plastic and rubber. This means that urethane is highly resistant to cutting, tearing, and abrasion while maintaining enough flexibility. This key feature resists impact damage and deformation.

To put it simply, you can try to beat the weights that are made out of but still be able to utilize them. This shows that urethane makes it an ideal material to make a bumper plate.

Aside from being extremely durable, it includes a low to no bounce feature, which allows the weights for more weight loaded on the bar. It also has a weight tolerance of Weight Tolerance: +/- 1% and a durometer rating of 90.

Workout and Exercises:

So, what can you do with this Titan Bumper Plate? However, here are the most common workouts and exercises recommended with the Titan Fitness Plates:

  • Overhead carry
  • Halo
  • Front Shoulder Raise
  • Truck Driver
  • Pickup

  • Squat Curl
  • Squat Press
  • Retracted Squat
  • Thruster

Additional Features

Other additional features of these Titan Fitness Plates include different vibrant colors, which allow you to have more fun while exercising with it. However, if you want something more simple and basic, they are also available in neutral colors.

Since it is also manufactured out of durable material and design, these economy plates still look good as new even after years of using them. It also has a weight tolerance of +/- 1% One thing to keep in mind is that the Titan Fitness plates have a slightly better Shore Durometer rating, which is also known as the measure of a plates’ “bounciness”.

In case you plan to do a fancy-pants, CrossFit-style weight drops, make sure that all that kinetic energy has to go somewhere. Since it doesn’t go into the bounce, it will translate into sound. This is because drops with completion weights produce a loud sound.

Just to give you a heads up: if you work out from your home, you’ll be producing a lot of noise whenever you drop a bar that is loaded with competition weights.

Warranty

Unfortunately, there is no manufacturer’s 1-year warranty available for the Titan Fitness Bumper Plates.

Who is it best for?

What Do People Say About It?

A Youtube channel named NoFate247 uploaded honest feedback  of the Titan Plates in his series called, “Dad’s Gym.” He explains why it is perfect for anyone’s home gym by saying, “The number one best reason is the price.”

“They are metal plates. I like the bumper plates because they tend to rust.” Since he works out in his basement, he considers this as a huge perk. “Also, when I drop them, they do a little bit of bounce and they are not just going to tear into the flooring. Or if they happen to go into the concrete, they’re going to take out concrete during my use of them,”

he adds.

He then measures the dimensions of the plates and explains the downfalls of the plates as well. “One, they’re not calibrated. Unless you are a powerlifter or a CrossFit competitor, the fact that you don’t have calibrated plates may not be a big deal [for you].” He explains that calibrated plates have a higher level of accuracy for weight.

He also points out the plates’ bounciness. “They’re not true bumper plates,” he says. He explains that unlike in Crossfit competitions, true bumper plates have a nice bounce when you drop them from seven feet off the ground. For the Titan Plates, they don’t include that cool feature.

However, he also adds another pro which is that the Titan Bumper Plates can last a lifetime.

Amazon customer Curtis Ellis wrote positive feedback for the Titan Plates. He describes the plates as a “quality set of bumper plates for starting your home gym.”

He writes, “No issues with this product. The bumper plates arrived rather quickly, were packaged well, and with no notable damage, save for a couple of small bubbles on one side of one of the 10lb plates.

This is no real issue and does not affect the quality or the use of the plate. There was a slight “smell” that came from them upon unpacking, but was quite tolerable and did not preclude using the plates. This smell dissipated after a few days. These bumper plates are worth checking out if you’re putting together a home gym and I’d recommend them to anyone starting.”

However, an unsatisfied customer named Steve Glass described the product by writing, “Made of very poor material. They not only get dirty and scuffed quickly, but the yellow color deteriorates quickly. Unacceptable.”
