Contributor/Co-owner – My name is Daniel DeMoss and I live in the Denver Colorado area. I have a master’s degree in physical therapy from NYU Steinhardt and now work as a personal trainer in my home town.
I am also a home gym nerd. Ever since building a gym to my home garage, I’ve geeked out on the topic, done a lot of research and bought way more equipment than I need. Every time I complain to my wife that she’s gone too far with her shopping, she reminds me of my gym and thus wins the argument.
Then again, ever since having a home gym, my wife has now started to lift weights with me. She didn’t like to go to the gym, but she doesn’t mind lifting at home. I really like her results and we get to spend quality time together.
So in order to put my hobby into more use, I’ve decided to put together a website and share my knowledge and do further research on the topic of adjustable dumbbells and home gym equipment. Why dumbbells specifically? Because all you need in reality is a pair of dumbbells and a weight bench in order to work every muscle in your body.
A set of dumbbells and a weight bench is enough for most people. This way you’ll save a lot of time otherwise spent on commuting and waiting after other people at the gym (I used to spend 208 hours, which is 13 days per year just to get to and back from the gym). Also you’ll have to invest upfront, but save money on gym subscriptions for years to come.
Contributor/Co-owner – Preferring to rename anonymous, DA, is a purple belt in Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and trains MMA 3-4x a week. He has been a lifelong sports enthusiast and has competitively played a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, and football.
Having been around sports and weight rooms most of his life, he has a deep understanding of fitness and lifting and is passionate about providing accurate and helpful health information.
