Workouts and Exercises

Classic Lat Pull-Ups
- First, make sure your pullup bar is positioned at the correct height and choose a gripping style (ergo, power, etc.) to grab hold of your handles.
- Position the handle so that it’s at a 90-degree angle to the horizontal bar, the finger cavity should be facing inwards.
- Using the strap on the handle, form a loop, and push the handle through the strap. Be sure to keep the strap straight during this process.
- Grab the handle tightly and put your middle finger through the strap. Once you start pulling, the strap should secure itself into place.
- Repeat steps 1-5 to secure the second handle. They should be equal to about shoulder-width distance apart.
- Grip your handles and exhale while pulling yourself up until your chin is level with the bar.
- Pause at the top of your pull.
- Inhale as you lower yourself down and your elbows straighten out.
- Without touching the floor, repeat the movement and complete your reps for the workout.
Deadlifts
- First, make sure your pullup bar or adjustable dumbbells are positioned at the correct height and choose a gripping style (ergo, power, etc.) to grab hold of your handles.
- Position the handle so that it’s at a 90-degree angle to the horizontal bar, the finger cavity should be facing inwards.
- Using the strap on the handle, form a loop, and push the handle through the strap. Be sure to keep the strap straight during this process.
- Grab the handle tightly and put your middle finger through the strap. Once you start pulling, the strap should secure itself into place.
- Repeat steps 1-5 to secure the second handle. They should be a little less than shoulder-width distance apart so that you don’t let your arms outside your knee.
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your toes under the bar. Your heels should be flat on the floor with your toes pointed straight or angled out slightly.
- Brace your abs and squat down, bending at your knees. Remember to keep your back and shoulders straight.
- Breathe out as you grip your handles and push upward through your knees and legs to lift the bar.
- While lifting, pull your shoulders back without bending backward until you reach full height. The bar should come to rest at or around your mid-thighs.
- Using a reverse range of motion, lower the bar to the floor to complete the rep and pause before continuing
